The Istanbul International Airport<\/em><\/strong> administration announced the date of transferring all flights from Ataturk International Airport to the Istanbul\u2019s new and third airport.<\/p>\n

As stated in a declaration, the airport administration has forwarded a notice memo to all airlines around the world<\/p>\n

Only 45 hours left to transfer flights to Istanbul International Airport<\/h2>\n

According to the statement, the transfer will take place within 45 hours, as all flights will start at 03:00 on March 1st<\/sup>, 2019, and continue until 00:00 March 3rd<\/sup>, 2019.<\/p>\n

Ataturk Airport\u2019s fate after launching Istanbul International Airport<\/h3>\n

Ataturk International Airport<\/strong> will be closed for all international, domestic, commercial and non-commercial flights, as of midnight on March 3rd<\/sup>, 2019. However, Ataturk Airport will remain available for independent shipping companies, private flights, and some official state aircraft flights. In addition, the airport will be used for maintenance work.<\/p>\n

The new airport will be the largest in the world<\/h2>\n

Istanbul International Airport<\/em> was inaugurated on October 29, 2018, in a huge ceremony attended by the President of the Republic, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a number of prominent local political figures, and many world leaders.<\/p>\n

Istanbul International Airport is built on an area of 76.5 million square meters, and it will be the largest in the world upon completion of all its phases.<\/p>\n
