Certainly, an increase of 14.5% over the first half of last year 2016. While tourism revenues reached around $ 8.8 billion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">The Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism released a statement on Tuesday clarifying that the Russians topped the list of tourists with 1.69 million. Second came the Germans with 1.24 million, and finally the Georgians with 1.07 million tourists.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Consequently, both <strong>Istanbul and Antalya<\/strong> topped the list of the Turkish provinces most visited by tourists. Istanbul reached up to 4.39 million, while Antalya 3.27 million tourists.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Only in June 2017, the number of tourists to Turkey reached up 3.48 million tourists, with an increase of 43.1% over the same month in 2016.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">According the <u>Turkish Statistical Institute<\/u>, tourism revenues in the first half of 2017 reached up to $ 8.8 billion, of which around $ 6.8 billion are by foreigners.
