In fact, six new metro lines had been originally planned, Topba\u015f explained, but said the sixth one was still looking for a tender. Five of the new projects are ready for the signing of contracts and groundbreaking ceremonies will soon take place, he added.<\/p>\n<p>The new lines will be the following: Ba\u015fak\u015fehir-Kaya\u015fehir (6 km), Ba\u011fc\u0131lar-Kirazl\u0131-K\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck\u00e7ekme -Halkal\u0131 (9.7 km), Kaynarca-Pendik Tuzla (12 km), \u00c7ekmek\u00f6y-Sultanbeyli and \u00c7ekmek\u00f6y-Ta\u015fdelen (17.8 km) and \u00dcmraniye-Ata\u015fehir-G\u00f6ztepe (13 km).<\/p>\n<p>Topba\u015f pointed out that the metro lines will be equipped with the world&#8217;s latest technology.
