Real Estate Sales in Turkey | 20k Properties by end of 2020

Real estate sales to foreigners in Turkey is significantly increasing at great rates. In fact, the Turkish real estate sector witnessed continuous growth during the last four months of 2020, reaching up to 20,000 properties.

Real Estate Growth Rate in 2020

According to Anadolu Agency, the index of selling real estate in Turkey to foreigners during the month of November 2020 achieved a remarkable record of 4,962 properties. In other words, an increase of 24.4% in the Turkish real estate sector sales, compared to the same month of the previous year 2019.

Furthermore, around 19,382 properties were sold to foreigners during 2020, compared to 16,014 properties in 2019. This increase was recorded between August and November 2020, compared to the same period last year. In other words, a remarkable growth of 21% was achieved.

Turkish Cities Topped Real Estate Sales

Istanbul, as usual, ranked first in Turkish real estate sales to foreigners with 2,443 properties in November 2020. That is to say, an increase of 30%, compared to the same month of 2019.

The total real estate sold to foreigners in Istanbul reached up to 16,867 during the first 11 months of 2020.

Secondly, Antalya with up to 6,946 properties. Thirdly, Ankara with up to 2,437 properties.

Top Foreign Nationalities’ Buyers of Real Estate in Turkey

With reference to top foreign nationalities buyers of real estate buyers in Turkey during November 2020, the Iraqis came first with 876 properties. Secondly, the Iranians with up to 860 properties. Thirdly, the Russians with up to 434 properties.
